Earlier today New York City FC announced that they have loaned Jonathan Lewis to Louisville City FC until the end of the USL Regular Season. This announcement comes just two days after Lewis was calling season ticket holders and thanking them for renewing their 2018-2019 season tickets.
NYC retains the right to recall Lewis at any stage before Louisville’s final league game on October 13. Lewis will be able to play for NYCFC in both the remainder regular season and playoffs.
Through the 2018 campaign Jonathan Lewis has played 14 matches and has logged one goal and 3 assists in a span of 219 minutes.
NYCFC currently sit third in the East with 49 points and head to Canada to face Montreal Impact at Stade Saputo. Montreal are currently sixth in the Eastern Conference and have won three matches and tied twice in their past six matches.
NYC has been on a downward spiral the past six matches securing only 5 points out of a possible 18.
The team also announced today that Yangel Herrera was activated from the disabled list and Cedric Hountondji was added.
